Format: Vinyl Record LP, Imminent Records. USA release from 1987. Very rare private press LP release from actress, singer and writer Annie Lore, the female Highway Man. Comes with the original inner lyric sleeve. Includes the 13 minute epic The Grey Cocked Hat. Annie sings and plays the gitterne and 12-string guitar. Other musicians play Northumbrian pipes, harpsichord, fiddle, bodhran etc. 8 tracks including: How To Gain A Husband; Muckin' The Byre; The Grey Cocked Hat; As Sylvie Was Walking; Cap'n Collins And The Mermaid; The Roving Repairman-o; Eppie Morrie; Over The Green. Noticeable scratch on side one track one, but no skips, otherwise a lovely fresh and clean copy of an unusual and very rare LP. Jacket has a little wear to edges.

Lebanese born Siham Rifqi is a favourite of Arab audiences for her rendering of Bedouin songs. She was born in Beirut, Lebanon and is considered one of the great Arab Badawi singers. 5 tracks including: Marha Wihala Ya Hibab, Ma' Al-salama, Ya Yimma, Al'khatir Allah, Magruha Garh Al-hawa. Lovely condition for a rare album.

Side 2 is Ploughjack: Molly Dancing Of The Fens And Plough Customs Of The East Midlands. Ashley Hutchings was a founder member of three of the most noteworthy English psych folk rock bands in England; Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and The Albion Band. 'This album is neither a work of scholarship, nor is it entertainment pure and simple. Rather, it lies somewhere between the two... What I feel is valuable about the Molly and Border Morris is the insight it gives us into the oldest, most basic, least civilised antics of our dancing ancestors... It may well be impossible to satisfactorily capture centuries of tradition on one long-playing record, but what I hope is that I have faithfully related many of the interesting elements that made up these customs and, who knows, possibly even taken you there for a brief moment...'
