Mambos from the "musician's musician". Alberto
Socarras is credited as the first Cuban flute player in jazz and one of the
first to start an orchestra performing latin music in New York city. His flute
playing and arrangements are often praised highly by more modern latin
musicians. 12 tracks including: Tea For Two Cha Cha, Sixty Second Mambo, A- You're Adorable, Nervous Gavotte Mambo, Hal's Cha Cha Cha, Mambo Impromptu, Algun Dia and others.
Jacket open but still in shrink, has two small bullet holes, vinyl looks brand
new.

born Jose Melis was a well-loved personality and pianist whose Cuban accent
endeared him to many fans. He was bandleader for Jack Paar's 'Tonight' show

Lights, My Ship, Over The Rainbow and others. Nice fresh copy.

12" LP. Ex vocalist with Antobal's latin All Stars, Don Azpiazu
relocated to New York, sang at the Roseland Dance City there, and recorded this
LP for the Bronx based Fifi Records label (no date). Seems to have re-worked a
couple of Antobal tracks to their detriment. Descendent of the Azpiazu who led
the Cuban music invasion across the globe in the 1930s. 10 songs including:
Marisol, Porque, Quiero Volver A Cuba, Penetro and others.
