LOS QUINONES PACHECO SEXTETO - Nueva Latin Jazz (E 6018)12" LP. Mono US release on Discos Embajador,no date but
looks early 1970s. Superb latin jazz on vibes, percussion etc. Not a
lot known about Quiniones Pacheco but a highly desirable release.
Tracks include 'Nuevo Latin Jazz', 'Latin Jazz Blues' and four
others. |

FELO Y BRUNO - Keyboard Moods with Rhythm Accompaniment (FMS-2012)12" LP. Juan Bruno Tarraza and Felo Bergasa, two Cubans on
pianos, with percussion on the side. Pianist Felo Bergasa was
thought highly of by Ernesta Lecuona. In the late 1950s this duo
toured extensively in the US and Europe. This release lookslike it
is from that era. No date, released on the Montilla label, USA, in
stereo. |

JOE LOCO SU PIANO Y RITMO - Bailemos Con Joe Loco (TRLP 5031)12" LP. Tropical (a division of Seeco Records), New York,
USA release, no date but looks 1950s or early 60s. Piano and
percussion with Joe Loco tackling some dance numbers. Joe played with some of
the biggest latin orquestas in New York before branching out on his own. Jacket graphic design by noted artist Don Miller of Grand Award fame.
Jacket has clear tape applied on edges. |

JOE LOCO - Vaya With Joe Loco! (CL 827)12" LP. Columbia Records, USA, no date but mid to late 1950s. Original
issue with the six eyes Columbia red record label. Melodic piano and
percussion with Joe Loco. Joe played with some of the biggest latin orquestas
in New York before branching out on his own. 12 tracks including: Vaya!, Los Marcianos, Aqui Viene el Swing, Rumba Rhapsody, En Vano Te Espero, Anaboaca, I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Almendra, My Rival, Coco Seco, Pan Con
Queso, Siboney. Jacket has clear tape applied top and bottom edges. |
