Excellent 1970s New York latin funk'n'soul from Spanish Harlem on the rare Mio Records International, a label started by Peter Terrace. Pianist Kent Gomez and his band laying down some heavy latin soul, straight out of the ghetto in Spanish Harlem. Musicians include: Kent Gomez, piano, Richard Dones, bass, Ricardo Cruz, conga, John Jay Thorner, Alto sax, Art Capehart, trumpet, Tony Pla Vallejo, bongos, Tito Martinez, timbales, Freddie Delgado, vocal. 10 tracks including: Kay gee, My ghetto, Your thigh, Mi Puerto Rico, No hay remedio, Think it over, Mi son, Yemaya, Alegrese senor, Los Molestosos. Stunning and vibrant debut from gifted pianist Richie Ray that has stood the test of time. Hightly sought after original. 10 tracks including: Viva Richie Ray, El Mulato, Amor De Juventud, Pachanga Medley, Brother Ray, Mambo Jazz, Suavito, Si Te Contara, Comejen, Pa' Cismoso Tu.
