TEKA - Live at Nyon Folk Festival (PCP-LP 001)

12" LP. PCP label from Hungary, live recording made at the Paleo Folk Festival, Nyon, Switzerland, in 1983 (LP released in 1984). Gatefold jacket in near mint condition. Teka ensemble are one of Hungary's leading folk groups who play mainly traditional Transylvanian folk and dance music on violin, tambura, hurdy-gurdy, bass etc. Fiery folk music from a long established group. 6 tracks including: Ördöngősfüzesi Zene, Kanászélet, A Csaplárosné Lánya, Az Ördög Cimborája, Mezőségi Lakodalmas, Harmatos Búzát Arattam, Gyimesi Táncok, Katonadalok, Nagysajói Csárdás, Vasárnap Bort Inni. East European folk music does not come much better than this.
